Wire Transfer Instructions

We offer our members the service of domestic wire transfers. Wire transfers are often requested for large purchases – like buying a home- because they’re fast, efficient, and funds are available to the recipient almost immediately.

Wire transfer scams are real. When buying a home, always verify where the money is supposed to be wired – especially when you receive instructions through email. Sending a wire is like sending cash. There is no recourse if the money is sent to the wrong account. We encourage you to double, even triple check, wiring instructions.

To Wire Funds from Whitefish Credit Union

Outgoing wire transfers are typically sent the same business day if submitted by 3:30pm MST, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Due to the increased security requirements of wire transfers, please allow adequate time for your request to be completed prior to cut-off time.
There is a $20 fee for outgoing wire transfers. Expected wait: 1-2 business days.

• Your bank account number funds will be coming from
• Recipient's name and street address
• Recipient's bank name and address
• Recipient's bank's ABA wire routing number

To Wire Funds to Whitefish Credit Union

To receive an incoming wire transfer to your account, provide the following information to the individual or business sending the wire. These instructions are for wire transfers only and should not to be used for ACH payments, direct deposit or other electronic payments:

• Name as titled on Whitefish Credit Union account
• Account number with suffix to which the funds should be credited
• Whitefish Credit Union's Routing/ABA Number (292178012)
• Whitefish Credit Union’s Address: P.O. Box 37 Whitefish, MT 59937

Note: Must be the full 10-digit account number with a suffix. See example below for formatting.
